EDUCATION
HOARDING TASK FORCE
- Develop plan and budget for animal education in K-12 schools
- Contract and identify additional teachers for 2020-2021 school year
- Identify schools in driving range of new teacher's homes
- Identify and qualify candidate schools
- Develop curriculum for 2020-21 school year
- Hire and train new teachers
No statewide laws effective. Causes huge disruptions at local shelters and rescues when they are shut down.
- Form hoarding task force with recommendations
- Study Colorado PACFA origins and process
- Reach out to other interested parties and possible co-sponsors of legislation
RELOCATION
Getting more difficult to place animals. Some shelters pushing back, getting
picky. Senders reluctant to complain about fear of being denied.
- Transport network collaboration
- Expand number of receiving shelters, include new states
- Use commercial transport services to supplement volunteers
- Address power imbalance between sending and receiving shelters
